About me
It occurred to me that I probably ought to tell you a little bit about me. Where to start? Well, I’m getting scarily close to hitting a major birthday milestone, which may explain why it suddenly seems so important to me to do what I really want to do with my life! I’m a mum, with two small children who have brought me more joy than I can ever explain and, at the same time, overwhelmed me with the responsibility of it all. Time to grow up … except I don’t necessarily feel grown up inside. I live with my partner but we never got round to doing the wedding thing, just fast forwarded straight to the babies! I’ve spent the past three years being a full-time stay-at-home parent, and now I need something new. I never was a domestic goddess of any description, and the constant round of making meals and cleaning up has been driving me mad. No time to myself, no time to think and not enough money to go round. So, instead of going back to my former life as a learning and development consultant, I thought I’d start a new business … because of course that’s going to make it easier to fit everything in! Anyway, I’m sure you’ll get to discover more about me as we go …
Great blog - but what is your name and where about’s are you - in the UK? Sharon Pavey
Great stuff. You’ll inspire other Mums to be open and share, which is what will be the success of Mummo. A very much not hidden face, of Mummo, and perhaps the huge selling point!
Hiya Jo!
I think your Business is a great idea, wonderful to hear that you have two little ones! I too have been blessed with a beautiful little chap who is 17 months old and has made me the happiest I have ever been. Just to make life a bit harder for myself I did a diploma in life coaching when I was on mat leave, it took me twice as long as it should have done but Zachy quite rightly kind of filled my days up. Having read your blog it has inspired me to get my butt into action and start my life coaching practice which has been bubbling around.
You now have my email address and it would be lovely to catch up.
Give those two kiddies a big cuddle from me.

Hi Gail
Really great to hear from you, and sorry it’s taken me so long to respond! I can’t believe it - how did you come across me?! The power of the internet, I guess! I’m so happy to hear you’ve got a little one, and it sounds like you’re really enjoying motherhood. Not sure quite how you’ve managed to squeeze in a life coaching diploma too - hats off to you! Do you fancy writing an article for Mummo?! I’ll email you soon - Jo x
Hi Jo,
I recently came across your leaflet on “how to be happier” at the Brighton Baby Show - a great little bit sized read. I have recently done an intro course on NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) and am always looking for inspiration! I started my own on-line business in February retailing natural and organic products for a more eco-friendly lifestyle and I am running a small shop as well. I am in the “I think I must be mad” phase at the moment! Even less time to think - 2 children, a dog, 2 cats, oh and a husband to look after - hence the late night blog. Despite the long hours and constant juggling, however, I think I rather like being in control of my own destiny!! Good luck with the site, I will enjoy a tour myself now! Kimx
Hello. Can’t wait to see the launch of mummo, I’ve just signed up. I’m a mum too, and I write a blog under the influence of Green, Independent & Natural stuff, so if you’d like I would be happy to write a green lifestyle article for mummies. Let me know and best of luck. Nicola x
